Mum’s special choc chip cookies
Ingredients
Utensils
2 whisks, 2 bowls, 2 wooden spoons, baking sheet, wire rack
Step 1/6
- 100 g salted butter
- 100 g caster sugar
- 100 g light brown sugar
- whisk

cream together the room softened butter and both sugars until a smooth paste is formed

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg

beat the egg with the vanilla extract and add this to the paste

- 175 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt

combine all the dry ingredients and add to the mixture

- 200 g chocolate chips
- wooden spoon
- baking sheet
fold in the chocolate chips and form the mixture into golf ball sized balls on a prepared baking sheet, leaving a large space in between each one. You will need to use multiple trays.
Step 5/6
Put cookie balls into oven at 200 degrees celcius, 180 degrees fan for 8-10 minutes. The cookies, when ready, will be golden brown and slightly crispy on the edge while gooey in the middle

Place on a cooking rack or let them cool on the tray and place in air tight container for the future. Enjoy!
