Stuffed Bell Peppers

Core the peppers and remove the seeds

- 1 kg ground beef
- 1 tomato
- 500 ml tomato sauce
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 300 ml lemon juice
- 1 tbsp short grain rice
- ½ tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp parsley
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Chop your onion and garlic, wet your rice and set it aside. Blend 1 tomato , mix it with the tomato sauce and add only half of it to the minced beef. Make the rest of the filling by adding the following to the minced beef. Then mix everything until all is combined.

Stuff the bell peppers. Add oil to a pot and turn the heat up to medium high. Add the bell peppers and let them cook for 40 minutes. Flip the peppers halfway through.

Add the remaining tomato sauce and paste mix. Add water until a sauce is created. Add lemon or salt and parsley according to taste.
Step 5/5
Serve with parsley garnish. Add yoghurt sauce if wanted.
