Spicy Couscous
Ingredients
Step 1/5
- 2 carrots
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 shallot
Chop the veggies. Slice the shallot thinly and mince the garlic.

- 1 package vegan chicken
- peanut oil
Heat up peanut oil in a pan. Fry up bell pepper, carrots and shallot first. Add the garlic and vegan chicken after 3 minutes.
Step 3/5
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ⅔ tbsp tomato paste
- ⅛ tsp chili flakes
Once fragrant, stir in the tomato paste. Also add the spices now and let them toast a bit.
Step 4/5
- ½ cup couscous
- 1 cup vegetable broth
Reduce the heat to low and add couscous and broth. Wait now, until the couscous soaked up all the liquid. Stir every once in a while.
Step 5/5
- salt
- pepper
- cilantro (for garnish)
- sesame seed (for garnish)
Lastly season with salt & pepper. Serve the couscous in a bowl garnished with cilantro and sesame seeds.
