Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius

- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp coffee
- copper mug
Add cocoa powder and coffee to a mug and add boiling water. Leave to cool.

- 375 ml flour
- 375 ml sugar
- 6 eggs
- bowl
- Electric mixer
Add eggs to bowl one at a time while whisking at high speed. Add sugar bit by bit while whisking. Mix well. Add flour and whisk well.

Add cooled cocoa mixture to bowl and mix well.

- 188 ml canola oil
- Electric whisk
Add oil and mix well

- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- Electric mixer
Add salt and baking powder. Mix well

- butter (for greasing)
- Round cake pan
Grease the cake pans with butter

Add cake batter to the pans.

Bake for 30 minutes

- soft caramel (for decorating)
Let cake cool for at least 40 minutes. Once cooled, cut the cake in half and apply caramel. Decorate as you wish and enjoy.
