Easy Scones for a cozy weekend
Step 1/9
Preheat oven at 190 degrees celsius.
Step 2/9
- 1¼ cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tbsp vanilla sugar
- ½ tsp salt
Sieve flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugar.
Step 3/9
- ¼ cup butter
Cut butter into cubes and mix in the flour.
Step 4/9
- 5 oz milk
Make a well in middle of the flour mixture and pour milk. It may be useful to pour little milk at a time and mix it in the dough. I just poured everything in though 😃
Step 5/9
Mix the dough. It may be a bit sticky, so I add some flour to coat it and then I can roll it easily.
Step 6/9
Roll dough to about 2-3cm thick.
Step 7/9
Cut rounds of dough with a cookie cutter or with a glass like I did. You can roll the remainining dough again and cut more rounds.
Step 8/9
Put on a tray with baking sheet and put in oven. Bake for 15 to 20mins.
Step 9/9
Take out the baked scones. They should have a nice light brown color to them. Cut them and eat with jam or clotted cream or whatever fancies you!
Enjoy your meal!
