Easy American Pancakes
Step 1/8
- 270 g flour
- 20 g sugar
- 2 egg
- 260 ml milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- whisk
Mix all ingredients in a bowl - for speed I just add them at the same time!
Step 2/8
- nonstick pan
Start preheating the pan while you mix - it should be hot when you start adding the pancakes
Step 3/8
Scoop (about a cup of) batter and gently empty it into the pan
Step 4/8
Let it sit until bubbles start appearing in the batter - be careful not to have the heat too high or it will burn while you wait!
Step 5/8
Flip! The top will still be raw so flip it gently or it will splatter!
Step 6/8
Once flipped, you’ll have to very gently press down with your - I use a fish slice - utensil. This stops the middle from rising too much and makes them nice and flat and stackable!
Step 7/8
Remove your pancake from the pan and repeat, stacking the pancakes until all the batter is gone!
Step 8/8
Add your preferred topping - syrup, fruit, berries, chocolate, ice cream, bacon and eggs - it’s all up to you!
