What’s the brand of this expensive strawberry?

Elly Amai, a luxury Japanese fruit brand, is the source of this individually packed expensive strawberry. In the website shop, in addition to the strawberries, there are also options to purchase a $95 Japanese musk melon. The price is also for a single melon, in a special wooden box.

Are the $19 strawberries really that good?

The reviews are mixed from the media, as expected. The strawberry is naturally good. The original creator, as linked above in this article, enjoyed the famous strawberry. Watchers of Jimmy Kimmel Live also have seen Kimmel and Mindy Kaling try and enjoy the $19 wonder. Kaling even went ahead to name it “worth $100”.

Another review on TikTok was from a creator called @janemukbangs, whose review was generally positive for the fruit. However the creator went ahead to add that there were strawberries of the same quality, but cheaper for sure.
