Alnatura recalls potato chips from the shelves
The bio super market takes immediate action
The bio super market Alnatura, famous in Germany, is calling their own brand of potato chips back immediately. There is a possibility of wood chips being present in the batch that is being recalled.
“Lebensmittelwarnung” issues the report
The food warning platform “Lebensmittelwarnung” has issued the warning in their page in detail here.
The details of the batch in recall are; 11.10.2025 best before date, 125 grams. The full warning is towards wood chips being present in individual packagings, and consumers should avoid, and if not should get urgent medical help in the case of consumption.
The product has been sold in almost all of Germany except for Saxony-Anhalt and Saarland. Alnatura’s offer for consumers is that customers should return the packages from this batch to the store and get a replacement instead of consuming the item.
Alnatura Produktions- und Handels GmbH also regrets the incident and apologizes to customers for any inconvenience the warning has caused.
