Olive, cheese and ham cake
Ingredients
Utensils
1 bowl (large), 1 oven, 1 whisk, 1 rubber spatula, 1 grater (optional), 1 knife, loaf pan
Step 1/5
- 41⅔ g flour
- 1 g baking powder
- ⅛ pinch pepper
- 1 bowl (large)
- 1 oven
Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder and pepper.
Step 2/5
- ½ eggs
- 1⅔ cl oil
- 1⅔ cl milk
- 1 whisk
Add eggs, milk, oil and mix well. (You can also replace milk with white wine)
Step 3/5
- 25 g ham
- 6⅔ olives
- 16⅔ g cheese
- 1 rubber spatula
- 1 grater (optional)
- 1 knife
Slice the olives, and cut the ham in small pieces. Chop or grate the cheese : here I used goat's cheese, but usually it is made with Gruyère or Emmental. Incorporate to the batter.
Step 4/5
- loaf pan
Pour the batter into a loaf pan. Bake for approx. 40min at 180°C. (Or until a knife inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.)
Step 5/5
Serve warm or at room temperature as an aperitif or a starter, with a salad. Great also for picnics and lunches on-the-go.
Enjoy your meal!
