"This is a classic that many Germans usually pick up prepared in the freezer section of the supermarket, but it can just as easily, quickly, and cheaply be made from scratch. Make sure to buy a Camembert with high fat content as it will melt much better for that delicious creamy, melty result. It’s more of an appetizer, but to make it a meal, serve it alongside or on top of a green salad."

    Preheat the oven to 100°C/200°F. Set up your breading station by adding flour, breadcrumbs, and egg to three separate, deep bowls. Beat the egg with a fork. Turn the cheese first in the flour, then in the egg, and lastly in breadcrumbs. Repeat the whole process with remaining cheese.

    Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the Camembert until golden brown on all sides. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven at 100°C/200°F for approx. 10–15 min. Serve immediately with cranberry jam and some green salad on the side. Enjoy!
