Topfenknödel
Ingredients
Step 1/7
- ¼ kg quark
Smooth out quark by mixing it. (I used quark that has 10% fat.)
Step 2/7
- 115 g flour
- ½ egg
- ½ pinch salt
- 15 g butter
Stir in flour, egg, salt and butter to create a dough. It shouldn't be sticky so if it is add more flour.
Step 3/7
Roll it into a line of 5-6cm diameter. Then cut into 1cm pieces.
Step 4/7
Take the 1cm piece roll it into ball and then press it flat. Put a filling of your choice, for example nougat or strawberry. Then roll into a ball again. Repeat this with the remaining dough.
Step 5/7
Fill a big pot with water and bring it to boil. Add the formed knödels (you can do this in batches) and cook until they float. Then wait about 1 minute before taking them out.
Step 6/7
- 25 g breadcrumbs
- 12½ g butter
- 12½ g icing sugar
In the meantime heat up butter on a pan. Then add in breadcrumbs and icing sugar and mix.
Step 7/7
Roll the knödels in the breadcrumbs and you're ready to serve! 🍽️😋
