Red Lentils Soup

- ⅜ onion
Finely chop the onion.

- 1¼ tbsp olive oil
- Cooker
Heat olive oil in a cooker and add the chopped onion with a pinch of salt. Fry for 1 minute.
Step 3/5
- ⅝ cups red lentils
- ¾ tsp ground cumin
- ⅝ tsp ground turmeric
- ¾ tsp salt
Add the lentils, and the spices. Mix the ingredients and let them fry for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 4/5
- 2⅜ cups water
Add the water and cover the cooker. When it starts boiling turn down the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 5/5
- ⅜ tbsp tomato paste
Add the tomato paste and simmer for 5 more minutes. Bon Appétit!
