  • Step 1/4

    Finely chop onion and garlic. Remove outer leaves and stalk from cabbage and cut into very thin strips.

    Meanwhile, heat olive oil over medium heat in a large fry pan (which has a lid). Add beef and season generously with salt and pepper. Fry beef, breaking it up with a spatula while stirring so that it doesn’t stick. Once beef starts to brown, approx. 5 min., add garlic and onion. Keep frying for approx. 3 min. more, until the onion turns translucent.

    Add tomato paste, maggi, paprika powder, and stir well. After approx. 2 min, add cabbage and mix well with beef. Cook for approx. 3 more min. Add vegetable broth and continue mixing. Put a lid on the pan and cook for approx 10 min. until the cabbage has softened and the sauce is thickened. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.

Put a lid on the pan and cook for approx 10 min. until the cabbage has softened and the sauce is thickened. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.

    Finely chop parsley and stir into the sour cream. Serve cabbage and mince with sour cream, ajvar (optional) and boiled potatoes or rice.
