Iconic chocolate walnut brownies

2 baking tins, Grease proof paper, knife, Electric whisk / whisk, Mixing bowl, sieve, Whisk / wooden spoon, spatula, Wooden spoon / whisk , oven, Skewer / knife
Step 1/7

- Grease proof paper
Line a baking tray with grease proof paper
Step 2/7
- 100 g walnuts
- knife
Chop the walnuts into little pieces
Step 3/7
- 2 eggs
- 125 g butter
- 275 g sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Electric whisk / whisk
- Mixing bowl
Beat the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla essence into a bowl until creamy

- 100 g chocolate chips
- 50 g self raising flour
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 25 g plain flour

- Whisk / wooden spoon
Sift both flours and cocoa powder into a bowl and add melted chocolate chips and stir to combine

Combine the chopped walnuts into the mixture and scrape the mixture into the baking tin

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean

If you want, sieve icing sugar onto the brownies once cool for added sweetness
