Easy stir-fry beef, ginger, and onion under 35 minutes

Step 1/3
- 225 g flank steaks
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tbsp vegetable oil
- ½ onion
- 25 g ginger
- ¼ tbsp corn starch
- 1 tbsp water

Slice beef against the grain into thin strips. Place in a large bowl and add sugar, half of the soy sauce, and vegetable oil. Slice onion into rings. Peel and thinly slice ginger into matchsticks. In a small bowl, whisk remaining soy sauce, cornstarch and water.

Heat some oil in a pan until very hot. Add beef strips and fry until they brown all over. Add ginger and onion. Fry until onions slightly caramelize on the edges.
Step 3/3
- ½ tbsp unsalted butter
- rice (for serving)
Add in the soy sauce mix into the pan and cook until the sauce thickens. Once the beef is thoroughly cooked remove from heat and stir in butter. Serve with rice.
