- ¼ kg apple
- 7½ g hazelnuts
- 7½ g walnuts
- ¼ vanilla bean

Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F. Core apples and thinly slice. Roughly chop hazelnuts and walnuts. Split and scrape the vanilla bean.
Step 2/4
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 12½ g sugar
- ⅛ tsp ground cardamom
- ¼ tbsp lemon juice

Add apple slices to a small pan over medium heat with half the cinnamon, half the sugar, and ground cardamom. Deglaze with lemon juice and caramelize for approx. 6 min.
Step 3/4

- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 11¼ g ground almonds
- 18¾ g flour
- 12½ g rolled oats
- ¼ tsp lemon zest
- ¼ vanilla bean
- 15 g butter

Add remaining sugar and cinnamon to a bowl with ground almonds, flour, rolled oats, lemon zest, vanilla bean seeds, butter, and a pinch of salt. Use your hands to mix everything together until the mixture resembles chunky breadcrumbs.

Transfer apples to a greased baking dish. Spread the crumble over the apples, then sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake for approx. 25 min., or until bubbly around the edges and golden brown on top. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy!
