Classic hot chocolate with whipped cream
Ingredients

cutting board, knife, saucepan (small), tea egg, cooking spoon, liquid measuring cup, hand mixer with beaters

Step 1/4
- 100 g bittersweet chocolate
- cutting board
- knife
Roughly chop chocolate.
Step 2/4
- 600 ml milk
- 2 star anise
- 4 cloves
- saucepan (small)
- tea egg
- cooking spoon
Heat milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add star anise, cloves using a tea egg. Then add chopped chocolate and stir gently until dissolved. Leave to simmer for approx. 5 – 10 min. Stir occasionally.
Step 3/4
- 100 ml cream
- liquid measuring cup
- hand mixer with beaters
In the meantime, beat cream in a measuring cup using a hand mixer with beaters until stiff.
Step 4/4
- 2 tsp chocolate shavings
Remove star anise and cloves from hot chocolate. Pour into cups and top off with a dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings and enjoy!
