Cheesy broccoli and rice casserole

Step 1/4
- 1 broccoli
- 1 onions
- 1 cloves garlic

Preheat the oven to 190°C/374°F. Cut broccoli into medium-sized florets. Dice the onions and garlic.
Step 2/4
- 1½ tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 225 ml milk
- frying pan

Add butter to a frying pan set over medium-high heat, once melted, add the onions and garlic and sauté. Stir in the flour. Gradually pour in the milk and continue stirring until thickened.
Step 3/4
- ½ tbsp mustard
- ¼ tsp sweet paprika powder
- 50 g cream cheese
- 62½ g cheddar cheese
- salt
- pepper
Remove the sauce from heat and add the mustard, paprika powder, cream cheese. and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until everything has melted. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Step 4/4
- 100 g jasmine rice
- 62½ g cheddar cheese

Mix rice, broccoli, and cheese sauce and pour into a baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and bake for approx. 35 to 40 min. at 190°C/374°F, or until the rice is cooked. Extend the baking time if you want the rice and broccoli to be softer. Enjoy!
