FAQ - How to save recipes
Everything you need to know about the new "Saved" recipes feature on Kitchen Stories
Heads up, there's news!
In the app version 24.0.0, we've made a small change to further improve your cooking experience with us and make the app more user-friendly.
From this version on, there is a new recipe location, marked with a heart and called “Saved”. This is where your cookbooks and favorite recipes are brought together.
All recipes that you have marked with a heart are no longer saved in your profile as before, but instead in this new location. From there, you can also sort them into your own cookbooks. Accordingly, instead of the “Save” button on the respective recipe, you will now only see the heart to like them.
Don't worry, you'll quickly get used to this small update. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us at any time.
We hope you continue to enjoy cooking and discovering our recipes!
Questions and answers
I cannot find my saved recipes, where are they?
Your saved recipes are now organized into Cookbooks. Previously, you could find them in your profile, but now they reside in the “Saved” tab located at the bottom navigation bar.
I cannot find my favorite/liked recipes, where are they?
We've simplified things! Your liked recipes used to be in a folder called “Likes,” but now they’re all part of your Cookbooks. The recipes you liked have been saved under the My Favorites cookbook, which is the first one in the list. Just head to the “Saved” tab in the bottom navigation bar to find all your cookbooks!
I am no longer able to save recipes, why?
No worries! You can still save recipes by tapping the heart icon, either on the recipe tiles or within the recipe page. After that, simply choose the cookbook(s) you want to save it in, or you can create a new cookbook on the spot.
Can I add a recipe to multiple cookbooks?
Yes, you sure can! We know some of you love to organize by themes, ingredients, or even meal plans for the week, so now you can add a recipe to multiple cookbooks at once. However you like to organize your recipes, we’ve got you covered.
Why did you change this, if it was working fine?
Great question! We found that many users were confused by the difference between a “like” and a cookbook. As a result, recipes were being liked but often forgotten. Our goal is to make cooking more accessible, and having all your favorite recipes in one place helps you remember them! Think of cookbooks as your personal, digital recipe shelf—ready anytime, anywhere.
I don’t like this update, can I go back to the old way?
We understand that change can take a little getting used to, but unfortunately, it’s not possible to revert to the old setup. That said, we’re confident that you’ll find the new system easy to use after a short while. If you encounter any technical issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!
