"This recipe has been updated to improve your cooking experience (January 2024). Pancakes are great, no doubt. But waffles? They're the rockstars of breakfast! Pancakes have no idea what to do with the syrup. But waffles know the syrup belongs in the golden crispy pockets on top alongside butter. Or you could top yours with a classic jam and cream combo. Either way, this is my go-to winning waffle recipe every time!"

FAQ

To make waffle batter, mix softened butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, milk, and a pinch of salt with a hand mixer. Once a smooth batter is formed, you’re ready to apply it to a well greased waffle iron and cook until crispy and golden but still fluffy inside.
