Heart Jam Cookies
Ingredients
Step 1/6
- 8⅞ g light brown sugar
- ⅛ egg
- ⅛ tbsp vanilla extract
- 9⅜ g margarine
Using an electric mixer, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy, then add the egg & vanilla and combine.
Step 2/6
- 22½ g flour
- ⅛ tbsp baking powder
- ⅛ tbsp salt
- ⅛ tbsp plant milk
Whisk together all dry ingredients, add to the wet mixture and fold in using a spatula. If it‘s dry and crumbly, add the plant milk and keep combining.
Step 3/6
Knead the dough into a ball, rest this in the fridge for an hour.
Step 4/6
After the rest, divide the dough into 24 pieces and roll each into a ball. Flatten these with the palm of your hands, and using your thumb, press a little heart shape into the ball.
Step 5/6
Preheat the oven to 375F (200C) and line a baking tray. Transfer cookies onto the tray and bake for 9-12 minutes.
Step 6/6
- 9⅜ g strawberry jam
Let them cool for 5 minutes before spooning the jam in the heart shaped hollow and serve!
