tapioca pearls (boba)
1 cups
milk
ice cubes (for serving)

  • Step 1/6

    • ¼ bag tapioca pearls (boba)

In a medium pan, add 6 cups of water and turn to medium-high heat. Once brought to a boil, add half a bag of tapioca pearls. Set timer for 20 minutes.

  • Step 2/6

    • 2 bags Earl Grey tea
    • 2 bags black tea

Add hot water to a quart jar with the Earl grey and black tea bags. Let sit in refrigerator for 10 minutes.

  • Step 3/6

    • ice cubes (for serving)

Add 5-10 ice cubes to 4 medium sized cups. Pour 1/2 cup of milk into each cup.

  • Step 4/6

Once bubbles are done cooking, remove from heat and strain. Do not rinse. Add bubbles into a bowl and add sugar. Stir well. Make sure the sugar has completely dissolved. If needed, microwave for 1 minute.

    • 2 Boba straws

Remove tea bags from tea and set aside. Add 4 tablespoons of bubbles to each cup. Top off with earl grey tea, add boba straw, and serve immediately.

  • Step 6/6

Optional: for extra bubbles, use a whole bag instead of one half. Bubbles can be bought at a local international store.

  • Cheers!
