knife, apple corer, bowl, baking pan, oven
Step 1/4
- 2 apples
- knife
- apple corer
Core the apples and cut them into thin slices. Alternatively, half them, remove the core and cut them into half thin slices. The thinner the slices, the easier for them to dry properly.
Step 2/4
- 1œ tsp ground cinnamon
- bowl
- baking pan
Place the slices into a bowl with the cinnamon and toss them, covering them uniformly with the cinammon. Then, arrange them on a tray over a sheet of baking paper. To make the slices dry properly, avoid slices to end up on top of each others.
Step 3/4
- oven
Bake at 110 °C for approximately 1hr30 / 2hrs or until the chips brown and curle up. The actual baking time depends on the quality and moisture of the apples. To check of they're properly baked, remove one slice and let it rest 10 minutes before testing its crunchiness, letting the other slices baking in the oven.
Step 4/4
Let the chips rest for 15 minutes to get crunchy.
